DetailsOur mission
We help patients find relief, restore function, and reclaim quality of life through advanced, image-guided interventional pain management — combining innovation, precision, and compassion for outcomes that last.
Abilene Pain was founded by Nicolas Pugh, MD, Adrianne Anders, FNP-C, and Lacy Connally, who saw a need for a privately owned clinic that listens, treats the root cause of pain, and delivers innovative care plans compassionately.
Pain is personal, and so is our care.
Being independent of a large hospital system means we can spend more time listening, understand your goals, and individualize treatment — without red tape.
Restore function, reduce medication dependence, and help you return to the activities that make life meaningful.

★★★★★
“The doctor and staff spent time understanding my pain, the effect it had on my day-to-day activities and my goals in improving. I was initially hesitant in getting involved with pain management. Abilene Pain identified a comprehensive program that earned my trust. I'm already on the road to better function and mobility.”

Becoming a patient
New patients are generally seen by referral. Ask your primary care provider or specialist to send a referral along with your recent records and imaging — once we have it, our team calls you to schedule.
Not sure whether it has been sent, or have a question first? Text us — it is usually faster than calling. Our office line accepts calls and text messages at the same number, so you can send a question, a photo of your insurance card, or a scheduling request without waiting on hold. Text or call 325-326-3433 — or for the Memorial Drive office, 325-468-8096.
Use the Patient Portal or the APPatient app to request refills, message the clinic, and complete forms before your visit.
Complete your packet ahead of time — it shortens your wait and gives us more of your appointment for care.
Fax referrals to 325-378-9175 with recent records and imaging, attn: the office you are referring to. We confirm receipt and contact the patient to schedule. Referral details →
